Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride 50mg

Is for prevention, meta phylaxis, and treatment of infections caused by Oxytetracycline susceptible microorganisms. Poultry: Prevention of early chick mortality caused by E. coli and stress as a result of extreme climatic conditions, cholera, Aseptic enteritis (Blue-comb disease), Salmonellosis (Fowl Typhoid and pollinosis-white bacillary diarrhea), Staphylocosis and other bacterial infections secondary to viral disease. Calves, Sheep, and Goat: Infections of the respiratory tract like shipping fever, calf pneumonia, calf scours, joint illness, contagious caprine pleuropneumonia, foot rot, mastitis, and metritis. Against secondary bacterial infections due to viral diseases like Rinderpest, Mucosal disease complex, Bovine Viral Diarrhea, Foot and mouth disease, etc.

Poultry: Prevention: One level teaspoon in 4 liters of drinking water or 4.5 kg of feed. During periods of stress use one teaspoon in 8 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days. Treatment: use two level teaspoons in 4 liters of drinking water for 4-5 days. Calves, Sheep and Goats: Prevention: 5 mg of Oxytetracycline/ kg body weight or one level teaspoon in 4 liters of drinking water or per mouth to 45 kg calf for 3-5 days. Mix with the milk or milk replacer. Treatment: For respiratory disease: 20 mg of Oxytetracycline/kg b.w. or four level teaspoons per 45 kg by mouth for 4-5 days. Lambs and Sheep: Scours: use two teaspoons in 4 liters of water for 4-5 days. Enterotoxemia: use one teaspoon in 4 liters for 4-5 days.
